Weight loss supplements, a complete NO: Avoid any type of weight loss supplements if you want permanent and healthy weight loss. Though, weight loss supplement may provide jump starts and you may lose weight faster but this weight loss is difficult to maintain, moreover it’s unhealthy.

Avoid packaged foods: Totally avoid packaged foods and pre-packaged meals. These foods are rich in calories and fat. If you really want to lose weight then packaged food should not fine any place in your meal. Instead have homemade healthy food.

Don’t get lured by fad diet: You have to avoid fat diets. There are many fad diets available over the internet such as three-day apple diet, or five-day grapefruit diet. These fad diets are not healthy and might have adverse affects in your body. These diets come with caveats to use them only for 3-5 days. Remember, healthy weight loss is a slow process and you have to dedicate time to it. Though you can though lose weight fad diet but the lost weight is bound to bounce back soon. If want to have permanent weight loss then you have to do some modification in your eating habit and lifestyle.

Join a health club: Commit yourself to a health club. Get a membership for a year or two of a nearby gym or health club. This will increase your commitment toward your weight loss goal.

Avoid weight loss contests: Don’t take part in any weight loss contest. Different people’s body react differently when they are involved in dieting or exercise. You can be de-motivated if you will not be able to win such contest. It’s your body and it will lose weight according. It’s not correct to compare your weight loss with other. Be focused on your diet and exercise regimen.

Avoid starvation: Many people starve to lose weight, it’s totally unhealthy. If overeating is not healthy then less eating is unhealthy and should be completely avoided. Food acts as fuel for our body. If you will eat less than your body will not be able to enough energy and you may feel lethargic and lazy. Eat enough to fuel your body. Starvation will lead to loss of muscles and this is again unhealthy. You have to lose fat and not muscles, as fat is something that makes you look fat and not muscles. Muscles make you look lean as contrary to fat.
