Weight Loss Tips For Busy People

We are living in a fast moving world where we have pressure and stress at office and sometime at home. We all are aware of the fact that this lifestyle is having adverse effects in our life.

We want to be health and fit but we hardly have time for that. Sedentary job, junk foods, unhealthy eating habits is eventually making us overweight and prone to many chronic diseases.

Our busy schedule demands lot of energy. Food that we eat acts like fuel to our body. We need fuel our body so that it can adhere to our busy schedule. Here are some suggestions that can help busy people to lose weight and live a healthier life.

Improve your eating habits:

Breakfast on the run

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and you should never skip it. It helps in increasing the metabolic rate, which in turn burn your fat faster. Ideally, you should have breakfast that it rich in protein and fiber. These elements will satisfy your hunger and provide you energy to keep you going.

Since breakfast kick starts your fat burning engine for the day, it is critical that you eat it. You want to focus on foods that have adequate protein and/or fibre. Both of these elements satisfy your hunger better and give you slow burning energy that will keep you going. The following ideas require little to no cooking. You can have fibre rich fruits such as orange, apple or pear and a cup of low fat milk. You can also have a cup of yogurt with nuts or almond mixed in it. You can also have two eggs with whole wheat bread.

Snacks on the run

Make it a habit to carry two snacks with you, whenever you are leaving for work. One is for mid-morning snacks and one for mid-afternoon. Like you breakfast, make sure that the snacks are also rich in fibre and protein. You can carry fruits such as apple, orange, etc. or you can opt for whole wheat cracker with 1-2 oz of low calorie cheese. Fresh cut vegetable with salsa or one serving of mixed nuts are also good choices.

Having high protein and high fibre snacks in mid-morning and mid- afternoon will pump up your energy level and will also help you in over stuffing at lunch as well as in dinner.

Batch cooking for meals

If you are really busy and no time to plan your meal then the best thing for you to do is batch cooking. Take out a day in a week and make healthy food at your place. You can cook broil chicken, oven fried or baked fish. You can also have bake sweet potatoes or brown rice.  This will help you to eat healthy and low calorie and low fat food.
