Weight Loss Tips During Holidays Season
The New Year and holiday seasons are approaching soon; and your fears of gaining weight are fast rising. You have already decided that you would keep a track of your weight and you would want to make weight loss resolutions.
Many people fail, but if you follow simple tips, you would be able to lose weight without losing on the fun bit.
1. Be very particular of what you drink, you can consume around 1000-1500 calories if you aren’t careful of what you drink. Natural juice is obviously better than aerated drinks; make sure you have 8 glasses of water.
2. Try and consume salad before you have your meals. Make sure your salad is low in fat. This way you would eat fewer calories which are full of fibre and antioxidants. Salad would keep you full and make you eat less.
3. Eat lots of vegetables and fruits. When you have your meal, make your plate into 2 halves. Fill one half up with veggies; a quarter filled with lean protein and the rest with healthy carbohydrates.
4. Try and eat healthy and fat free version of the toppings that you use on your salads and food. You wouldn’t compromise on the flavour but lessen a lot of calories you consume.
5. Be conscious of the food choices you are making; make sure you choose food which is comparatively lower in calorie content and fat. While eating at home you can have lots of fresh fruits and vegetables.
6. When you feel hungry often; before you get up and grab a bite think if it is actually hunger or it is your emotions and thirst causing hunger. You should have a tall glass full of water before eating. Wait for around 30 minutes before eating.
7. Consume seltzer water; it will help you control hunger as the bubbles in this water will make you fuller. You can add taste to it by adding a dash of lime in your water.
8. Make sure you remain more active which would help you burn more calories. You can exercise daily for 30 minutes five times a week. Besides this make sure your daily schedule is active.
