Weight Loss– Having a Low Calorie Diet
Having a low calorie diet is always recommended; however it also depends on the individual as well. Depending on your daily routine and the amount of physical exertion you go through, you might not need to reduce your calorie count because it could affect your health in a negative manner.
However if you are obese and have a minimum amount of physical exertion during the day, then it is important that you reduce your calorie count. What you must remember is that you have to moderately reduce your calories so as to not drastically affect your health. After a while you also need to start exercising a little to keep everything in balance and regulate your body fat.
There are 3600 calories in a pound and in order for you to lose a pound; you must drop that many calories. If on average you consume around 2000 calories a day then start by reducing 500 calories per day.
At this rate you will lose a pound in around a week or so. If it seems too much to cut down and you will not be able to handle it then just cut down around 200-300 calories because any less and there will not be any noticeable changes to your weight.
Once you have established a certain amount of calories to drop every day you should maintain it. It will be most easily achievable by cutting down the junk and processed foods from your diet.
You should be eating healthy and staying healthy. Once you start getting accustomed to this routine then drop another few hundred calories per day and now stick to this routine. So if before you were losing 300 a day, now make it 500 a day.
One important thing to remember is that you cannot let your body go low on nutrition and vitamins. So you can easily consume multi-vitamin supplement pills on the side to keep the nutritional count up.
This is very important because losing weight does not mean losing health. In addition to that you should try and work in a little exercise, even 10-15 minutes a day would be good because this will help you lose fat and not muscle.
