Use Protein To Curb Hunger

If you have been dieting for a really long time, you must have seen that some diets work really well, while others don’t have any effect at all. The best diet plan any individual can have is one that s/he devise for themselves.

A very important part of any diet plan is the protein intake you have prescribed. Protein not only makes you feel fuller, it also helps your curb those hunger pangs. In fact if you want to curb daily hunger, the best and healthiest way to do it is having a protein rich breakfast and lunch.

Protein can be found in various forms and types, the most common and popular is obviously meat. However if you want to restrict the intake of meat, there are other very good sources of protein you can incorporate in your diet. The best benefit of protein in all its forms is that it is important to rebuild muscles, for good health and it great to curb hunger.

Protein is hard to digest and it tends to stay in your system for long. If you have protein and fibre in the beginning of your day, you would feel full till lunch and you won’t want to binge on unhealthy snacks.

Protein which help to Curb Hunger

There are various kinds of foods available which are considerably high in its protein content. If you incorporate these foods in your breakfast or lunch, you would handle your daily hunger pangs in a better manner.

Egg
Low-fat cheese /cottage cheese
Low-fat yogurt
Soy Milk
Tofu
Black, soy, pinto, lima beans and kidney
Lentils
Peanut butter and Peanuts
Almonds
Pumpkin or flax seeds
Chicken skinless breast
Fish
Steak
Oat
Brown rice

You can also incorporate protein snacks and shake if as a supplement of protein in your diet. While having eggs go for boiled or devilled eggs and make sure you don’t have the fat portion. Another good option is meat jerky, but these can be high in sodium content.

You should remember that consuming too much protein is as bad a consuming none at all. You should have well balanced meals.
