Best method to shield yourself and your family members especially children from getting affected by obesity is educating and advising them about the quality of food they eat.This will definitely help them to lead a healthy life style.

This can be done in a very simple way and they can also know about the various types of food which they can consume throughout the year. This will also help them to broaden the area of their tastes and provide them a lot many more options.

Your children must know about the various fruits and vegetables which are available throughout the year. Ask them questions regarding the food items which are grown in various seasons. The knowledge about this can be collected from internet or books.

Take them to vegetable/fruit markets and allow them to touch, taste and smell different varieties. Try to give your family members a say in what they want to eat. Also to arouse an interest in this, let them know that their opinions count.

This will also help to arouse the taste buds of your children. Also you can mix these items with other items that your child likes. You can give fruits with ice creams or slices of vegetables with different types of sauces.
