Almost couple of decades ago, weight was not as big issue as it is now. Earlier people were more involved in physical labour, they used to be more physically active and fit, which allows them to eat whatever they want.
On the contrary, today we have altogether a different lifestyle and our job is mostly sedentary. The way we cook and eat our food has also changed to great extent. All these factors have increased our chances of becoming obese or overweight.
Here are some great tips that will help you to manage your weight and will also help you to stay fit and healthy.
Have sufficient amount of water: If you want to be fit then you have to have minimum 8-10 glasses of water in a day. Water helps in flushing out toxins from our body, which increases the metabolism and hence faster weight loss. Water helps in keeping our body healthy, it increases glow in our skin and make us feel full.
No beverages: If you really want to lose weight then you have to avoid sodas, sweet drinks, and alcohol. If you can avoid it completely then you can lose weight faster. If possible also avoid diet soda, it’s not good for our health and also hamper weight loss process. The only thing that you can drink is water. Drink it as much as you can.
Have fresh fruits: It’s always better to have fresh fruits instead of having fruit juice or canned fruits. Fruits are rich source of vital nutrients that is very important for our body and these nutrients helps in weight loss. Fresh fruits have no added sugar or artificial flavor. Moreover, fresh fruits are rich in fibre which canned fruits are not.
Include vegetables in your diet: Like fruits, vegetables are also rich source of vital nutrients. Vegetables are also rich in fibre, so include vegetables in your diet plan.
Cut down on snacks: Avoid having high carbs, high calorie snacks. If you are too much into snacks, then have fresh fruits and vegetable sticks as snacks.
No Alcohol: Alcohols are high in calories and regular consumption of alcohol can leads to increased weight. So if you want to lose weight then say no to alcohol.
Avoid crash diet: Never follow crash or fad diet to lose weight. It is an unhealthy way to lose weight. Crash diet focuses on one particular food group and ignores other food groups. You can lose weight with the help of fad diets, but once you get back to your normal eating habit, the weights tend to bounce back.
