Think Slim To Lose Weight
Behave and think like slim people to become like them and lose weight:
Become Satisfied and not stuffed. Research shows that on a scale of 10 for fullness overweight women eat till 10 or even 12, slim women leave eating at around 8. Put your fork down mid way through your meal, assess your hunger and if needed start eating, do it again, when you have around 5-8 bites left on your platter. This way you’d also slow down your eating and eat healthy.
Treat hunger as hunger and not as an emergency:
Overweight women treat hunger as something that needs to be cured immediately. Thin people tend to avoid them as they know cravings aren’t the be all and end all. Delay lunch by an hour or so, try giving up your snack any day. This would help you build your will power and make you handle cravings better.
Say no to Emotional Eating:
Skinny women do get emotional but they don’t take food as their mode to handle emotions. When you grab a bite because you are feeling bogged down, stop yourself there and then.
Eat more veggies and fruits:
Research shows thin women eat more fibre in fruits and veggies as compared to overweight women. Eat more fruits and veggies around the day.
Well planned meals:
Thin women have well planned meals and they don’t get into unhealthy eating. Make your meals healthy and consistent; make sure you have cereal for breakfast, salad for lunch etc. You can add grilled fish or chicken to your dinner.
Become Self controlled:
Women who have more self control, research proves have low BMI and those with low self control tend to have a high BMI and have to deal with overweight. People who are self controlled are tend to avoid overeating and unhealthy eating during parties and festivals which keep their weight in control.
Keep on your toes:
Research shows that thin women spend 2.5-3 hours more on their feet than overweight people. Try making your lifestyle more active. You can wear a pedometer and keep a count of your steps (recommended is 10000 steps).
Eat Breakfast:
Women who eat breakfast tend to remain energetic and stay healthy as compared to those who skip breakfast.
