Steps To Lose Weight

Bring a lifestyle Change: Weight loss shouldn’t be seen as a short term thing. If you want weight loss to last you need to incorporate weight loss in your entire life. You should make lifetime changes which will ensure that your weight loss lasts long.

Drink Water before meals: Your weight loss will be positively affected if you have a glass of water 30 minutes before your meal; it helps stock up fluids which would be used to create bicarbonate solution on mucus membrane which is found in our stomach. Having water will protect stomach and it won’t get burnt by its acidic fluids. If you remain hydrated you wouldn’t have the craving to opt for unhealthy and fattening drinks. The body wouldn’t need to retain extra water which makes the body fat. You wouldn’t feel really full if you have had water before meal.

Avoid sweet beverages and food stuff: Sweet drinks and food would unnecessarily load your body with lots of calories making you fatter.

Mix of Cardio and Strength Training: People especially women give a lot of concentration to aerobics and want to spend their time burning extra calories. What they don’t realise is that weight training is extremely critical and is equally important as cardiovascular exercise is. You should also include aerobic walking or jogging as this helps you lose weight and slim down.

Your determination to lose weight: You should be mentally raring to go if you want to lose weight. This would make you serious about your weight loss and would help you stick to your program and become more committed.

Healthy Eating: Weight loss is all about burning the amount of calories you consume. This depends on both your exercise and your diet. Once you have tackled you in exercise it is extremely important to make sure you have a healthy and nutritious diet. Don’t fall in the trap of crash/fad diets.

Eat as your personality and what you like: We aren’t talking about fattening food, eat healthy food that you like. You shouldn’t completely give up food you like, make sure you don’t eat something that is unhealthy. You should never restrict yourself from any food group, treat yourself occasionally and don’t deprive yourself.

You should choose a sustainable exercise program: Choose a program which you can stick to for longer.
