Step Aerobics
Step Aerobics is a variation added in aerobics which makes it extremely challenging. You tend to lose more calories and it adds a little extra energy and excitement to you exercise.
There are many steps or variations that you need to learn from step aerobics. Practice would obviously make you perform better and give you better results.
Once you become a little accustomed to the step aerobics routine. You would know what step is good for you and you would be able to perform your step aerobics with ease. If you practice them consistently you would be able to get beneficial results and it would make you healthy and fitter.
Step aerobics are full of easy to move steps which can be followed by beginners; these steps can be made difficult as you become more experienced. Mentioned below are some basic steps of step aerobics:
Basic Step Aerobic:
While doing a basic step, you need to step up on the right foot and then on the left. Keep a step back as you put it down, first on the right and then on the left foot. In a basic left step you need to start the movement on the left foot.
Tapping up:
It is quite similar to basic step; after you step on a bench with the lead foot and keep your other foot on the bench just tapping it on the bench simply, before returning on the floor.
Basic Split:
Start as basic step on your right followed by your left foot. From here you shouldn’t step down, bring the right foot to the floor and tap the right foot before you replace it on the stepper. Repeat the same on the left foot.
Grapevine:
This is a step in simple aerobics as well, it is simple as you step sideways on your lead foot, bring the other foot behind as your cross your lead foot from behind. Step the lead foot out once more and then bring you other foot besides your lead foot. Repeat it in the other direction.
A Step:
By doing this step you make the alphabet “A” with your feet. Facing sideways stand next to the step. Keep a step up and then keep your following foot on the bench. Keep your foot down from the opposite side first keeping your lead foot as the second foot follows.
I Step:
Start as the basic step, as both the feet come together on the step get into a jumping jack and then step on the floor.
