People of age group 19-50 years consume extra 115 calories/day on the weekends as compared to weekdays. 115 calories may seem like an insignificant amount, but in a year time this 115 calories/weekend will add up to 18,000 calories per year. This 18,000 extra calories in a year leads to gain in weight.

Be active: Research has indicated that people who are just glued in front of their TV generally have stressful weekend. If you want your weekend to be stress-free, then you need to figure out other way of relaxing than watching TV. Try some outdoor activities such as sports, cycling, swimming, jogging, window shopping. Try to cash upon these kinds of outdoor opportunities. The extra calories that you have taken in will be offset by the increased physical activities.

Don’t go hungry: If you have attended parties in weekend then make sure that you are at least half full before going to party. If you go all hungry, then you may end up eating more.
