Shed Those Calories with Green Tea

Dieters looking for more effective solutions for weight loss can now take a sigh of relief. As now they have something else to try their hands on to for losing weight and gaining their lovely curvaceous figure back.

Green tea is just not only the latest method to arrive but it is also one of the easiest ways of getting into shape. Green tea is produced by boiling fresh green tea leaves. This result in a content called polyphenols like EGCG. It is said that green tea has at least 40% of polyphenols in them unlike black tea that only 4% of polyphenols.

Polyphenols is an important ingredient in green tea as it provides many health benefits to people like it brings blood pressure under control and it even lowers the risk of cancer in people. The polyphenols namely EGCG present in green tea carries the ability to increase enhance the process of heat production for the metabolism process. In layman’s words it means that ECCG allows the body to burn calories fast when someone is either walking down the stairs or climbing the stairs or typing etc.  But dieters cannot expect to lose many pounds as soon as they start drinking green tea.

Green tea contains caffeine which also helps in losing weight. Green tea has the ability to increase the rate of metabolism and quicken the weight loss process. But as mentioned earlier green tea contains caffeine and polyphenols which may hinder a person’s health if they are on some other medication as well. Hence it is important for such people to seek the help of a doctor who would be able to guide them and tell them if they should stop drinking green tea as they are on some other medication.

But the one point about green tea that nobody can dispute is that it does help in losing weight. Whether the metabolism level increases or not dieters living on green tea would at least get to taste something different. For the time being enjoy your cup of green tea and don’t expect miraculous results.
