The most common technique that most people use for losing weight is living on diet of only salads. But the big question is whether this diet is good for health or not. Whether it is all right to just go on eating nothing but salad? The answer is yes.
One can afford to live on a diet of just salads provided they keep changing it every day. It is also important to dress your salad with different things like fruits, nuts, meat (obviously lean) and so on to avoid getting bored of eating salad every single day of your lives. By adding lots of green vegetables and fruits one can actually enjoy a very healthy and low-calorie meal.
Most people find it little difficult to determine how much salad is enough. The answer is simple. Use a calorie calculator, note down the number of calories and divide it by the number of meals. If this sounds a little complicated, then one can also use a food dairy to keep a track of the amount of calories. A great way of ensuring that the salad that you are eating is not just healthy but also makes you feel full is by adding lot of green vegetables. This way you are not adding any calories but eating plain healthy food.
If you are tired of eating just different types of lettuce, then you can add vegetables and fruits in your salad as well. From apples to oranges to raspberries to beans to nuts to meat (lean) and so much more just to change the taste of your salad. Salad is highly recommended because it contains lot of rich vitamins, mineral and antioxidants which are highly beneficial for health.
And the best part is that what you add in your salad is completely your discretion. If you are watching your weight then you can make a low calorie salad, whereas, if you have taken break from your diet plans for a while then you can even enjoy a salad that is rich in carbohydrates.
