Pitfalls in Weight Loss

When it comes to weight loss many of us tend to make  some or other mistakes. Most common mistake we do is to quit all old habits and schedule too much exercise with the thought that more exercise is good to lose weight.

More is better, but not in exercise. Start your exercise regime with moderate level of exercise. Remember! You cannot go directly from ground to top share in a few days. It’s a process and takes times, so have patience and exercise regularly.

Consistency and patience are the vital factors for anybody who is trying to lose weight to get in shape. When you see someone who is in a good shape and go to the gym four to five times a week, remember they were also beginners at some point of their lives.  We want to be experts without being beginners, that’s not possible in life nor is it a realistic approach. Try to talk to talk to people who are regular at gym and concerned about their health, learn from their experiences and mistake.

Do not try to do every thing at the same time, start gradually. If you do it all right away you may end up hurting yourself, if not physically then mentally. If you over train your body you may even injure your muscles in that process. Then you may feel frustrated not being able to follow your weight loss plan and you may also get back to your old habits and routines whatever they were.

Another common mistake that we generally do is to incorporate new eating habits in our live. We do away with our old eating pattern and get down to new food. This is again a wrong way to follow. Change is supposed to be a gradual process. Change you eating process but give it a time, try to avoid unhealthy food and incorporate healthy food. Don’t try to do every thing at one shot; it will not yield healthy result.

Remember! There is no reason for you to have unhealthy food the entire day if you happen to get diverted with you diet at some point. Get back on track at the next coming meal. This is where focus and discipline become very vital and important.

Another common mistake the people tend to do is to buy home base exercise equipment. Many people tend to buy these equipments thinking that it will help them to be focused and disciplined.

Eventually, it ends up collecting dust under your bed or occupying unnecessary space in your closet after you have used it for a few times. It’s advisable to move down to nearest health club or get a membership of gym and start working out under an expert. This will help you to devote your energy at the right thing that will lead to proper weight loss.
