Chromium
The atomic structure of chromium has been designed in such as way that it aid in burning fat faster and building muscle. However, the use of chromium as a diet supplement has been bit controversial and has also exposed damage during clinical trials. Avoid this as a diet supplement as it may cause other side effects like weakness, lack of sleep, etc.
Ephedra
Ephedra got media attention publicity and most of it was negative. Ephedra is more commonly known for its severe side effects. It helps in losing weight by reducing appetite and pumping heart faster and increasing metabolic rate. It has been banned by FDA as Ephedra can cause strokes, heart rate abnormality, and it can even cause death.
Bitter Orange
Bitter Orange is a herbal diet supplement, which has been developed for a particular type of orange. It has been developed ages before and has been used for thousand of years in Chinese medicines. Bitter Orange contains a chemical, synephrine, which has almost similar effect of ephedrine. However, many studies and researches have indicated that it doesn’t help much in weight loss. CLA
CLA is known as Conjugated Linoleic Acid. It is a chemical compound that can help in cutting down body fat, especially from the abdominal area. CLA can be found just not as a supplement, but it can also be derived from animal that eat grass such as goat, cow, etc. CLA is also found in eggs. CLA can cause side effects such as diarrhea.
Hoodia
Hoodia Gordoni is a leafless plant found in thick forest of South Africa. It helps in weight loss, as Hoodia is known to reduce appetite. However, there is no scientific proof of the claim.
