A government research which was conducted recently showed that people in the USA aren’t taking the required amount of essential nutrients for the body to function healthily. Mentioned below are some important nutrients and their benefits:

Calcium- One should consume about 1,000 mg a daily. Calcium is one mineral which is likely to be less in all diets.  Calcium is good for your bone health, nervous system, premenstrual mood, it regulates hormones, protects you against colon cancer, maintain health of your teeth,  it is essential for maintenance of your blood pressure levels. Calcium can be found in Milk products, fish (with bone), and leafy vegetables.

Fiber can be taken around 25 grams in a day. Fiber protects you against heart disease, it lessens the threat of diabetes. They give our body energy. Fiber helps you release from constipation, it might prevent body from some type of cancer, besides helping you keep your weight in check. Sources of fibre include veggies, fruits, legumes, seeds, nuts, and whole grain.

Magnesium should be consumed around 320 milligrams daily. Magnesium maintains your muscles, nervous function, develop and maintain bones, it is vital for biological procedure of our body, it helps body to absorb calcium and help development of healthy teeth. It helps regularize rhythm of the heart and prevent unimportant clotting of blood. It can significantly have a good effect on lessening the chance of stroke or heart attack. You can get magnesium from nuts, bran, seeds, and some fish.

Potassium- 4,700 milligrams is recommended daily. Potassium maintains a healthy level of blood pressure and lowers the effect of salt on our body, it might lessen the recurrence of kidney stones, it helps our body regulate it’s fluid level, promotes function of some tissues, helps in waste removal.  You can find potassium in potato, tomato, yogurt, white bean, banana and soybeans.

Vitamin A: One should consume 2,310 units in a day. Vitamin is good for our vision, RBC production, embryo development, immunity. It is found in Orange veggies, organ meat, leafy green vegetables.

Vitamin C: One should have 75 milligrams of Vitamin C daily. Vitamin C has many disease-fighting qualities, helps build a healthy immune system, heals wounds, builds healthy gums, and helps in absorbing iron. Rich source of Vitamin C are Citrus fruits like orange, kiwi, guava and vegetables.

Vitamin E: 15 milligrams daily. It also has disease fighting qualities; supports health of your eyes, develops healthy circulatory system, proper blood clotting and healing. Found in some cereals, oils, almonds and peanut butter.
