If there was ever a fountain of youth for vitality and health, exercise would be it. There are numerous health benefits of exercise. It would be almost impossible to list down every benefits associated with exercise.
Many researches has indicated that if exercise is performed on daily basis the risk of high blood pressure, strokes, osteoporosis, diabetes, high cholesterol and breast cancer can be decreased to considerable extent.
Moreover, regular exercise helps in strengthening of our lungs and heart. It also helps us to keep our bones strong and healthy. What’s more exercise also eases depression and stress and also facilitates relaxation and sleep.
It doesn’t matter how old you are, you should incorporate exercise in your daily routine and should take out at least 15-20 minutes daily for any type of physical activities. You don’t have to join an expensive fitness club, or you don’t have to buy expensive exercising equipments. Instead, you should incorporate some type of physical activities that are extension of your daily activities or routine.
Here are some tips or guidelines that can help you to naturally incorporate physical activities into your daily routine. Undertake some or other type of activities while watching television. Aerobic, yoga or strength training are all good. You can also walk on treadmill or do some hand weight while watching television.
Go for a brisk walk after dinner with your spouse, children, and friends. Brisk walking will helps you to digest your food and will also help you to burn extra calories. Avoid taking elevators or escalators. Instead, take stairs. Try to climb up the stairs while at your office or at your home.
Pick up some sort of outdoor activities such as gardening, or taking your dog out for a walk. Park your car away from your office and try to cover that distance by walking. This will also helps you to stay fit and healthy. Or you can get off the taxi or bus early and try to walk the rest of the way to your destination.
Play some sort of outdoor games such as soccer, baseball, basket ball with your friends, family or colleagues over the weekend or whenever you have time. Play with your pets. Playing with cats and dogs is a great fun and an effective way to burn calories and to keep you fit and active.
Instead of taking your car to the nearest car wash or paying someone else to wash your car, do it yourself. Get up one day early on your weekend and wash your car yourself, car wash will surely give you a workout.
Mow your lawn, if you don’t have your own law volunteer to do it for your neighbour such as mowing the lawn for disabled or elderly person. Learn new activities such as cycling, skating, swimming. These activities will increase your metabolic rate and will help you to stay healthy and active.
