1. Teenagers would be the same weight as their parents, it is genetic, and you can’t help them:

In fact these teens learn from their past mistakes and don’t tend to repeat them. If you fail, all you need is assessment of your workout and diet, realise your mistake and re-start your weight loss tryst with a bang.

4. Teenagers do not want assistance and help from their parents:

It is an extremely sensitive issue and you have to deal with it in the same manner. Especially if you have successfully lost weight you would be able to guide your teens in a better way. They might take some time to open up, but once they know you have the potential to help them they would completely trust you.

5. If they become very particular about health they might from many eating disorders:

Some people don’t tell their kids how important it is to lead a healthy and fit life because of this problem. This is a very valid concern and is also very understandable as teens often become desperate to lose weight. All you need to do is guide them and tell them about healthy ways of losing weight. Ignoring your teen’s health because they might adopt unhealthy eating might put them at risk of obesity.

Teen weight issues have become such a major concern across the globe that giving heed to these myths would just aggravate the problem.
