Metabolic Balance Diet

Metabolic Balance Diet program aims to create a stable level of insulin through a healthy diet so that you have satisfying meal and also balance your metabolism.

The underlying principles of this diet are:

Everyone has the capabilities to generate all the enzymes and hormones that are essential for healthy metabolism. However, we need to provide vital nutrients to our body to support the production of hormones and enzymes. The only way to supply vital nutrients is through the food we eat.

Our body and its systems are designed in such as way that it has the ability to develop an appetite for foods that contain the nutrient it needs. Unfortunately, we tend to ignore the internal message and select our food based on smell, taste, appearance, and other external stimuli.

The base of the Metabolic Balance Diet is a personalized nutrition program, which is based on individual’s metabolism. The program is created only after a detailed blood analysis, present medical condition and medical history.

Metabolic Balance Diet is divided into four phases that are:

First Phase: Phase 1 lasts for two days and is basically meant to detoxify your body by throwing our wastes from your body.

Second Phase: This phase is also known as strict phase because it involves adjusting your metabolism in line with your personalized plan.

Third Phase: Well, this phase is a relaxed phase where you start taking natural taste of food and can indulge yourself in more treats.

Fourth Phase: This is an ongoing phase where you need to stick to your new eating habit to maintain weight loss.

The personalized nutritional plan will not also help you to lose weight but will also make you aware about the food and their properties so that you can include and exclude foods from your diet. This program includes eating thrice in a day. Snacking is strictly prohibited and it’s just out of question. Participants are recommended to leave 5 hours between meals as this will help to stimulate fat burning process.

Simpler form of sugar plus high glycemic carbs should be eradicated as they might disturb the entire balance of insulin and sugar in your body; it might also encourage the build up of body fat. Food which helps us keep our insulin level low is obviously preferred.

The idea is actually to initiate each meal of ours with protein rich food. The ratio of macro nutrients should be approximately 45% carbs 35% fats and 20 % of protein.

Food that is recommended:

You can have fresh fruits, veggies, lean meat, tofu, nuts, eggs, legumes, sheep or goat cheese, whole grain, yogurt, sprouts etc.
