Portion Check: People from France generally eat high quality of food but in small portions. If you compare the size of serving in America they are much large than French portion size.
Emphasis on Quality and not Quantity: French people love taste of the food they eat and emphasize on the quality of food they eat. Americans generally tend to confuse eating more food with enjoyment. Americans overeat because they just love to eat.
Savour & Relish the taste of the food you eat: French generally eat 3 main meals but they truly enjoy the experience; unlike Americans who generally eat on the move. Americans believe in eating in a hurry and do not enjoy the taste, French are slow eaters and enjoy the food they eat, and this makes them full faster.
Emphasise on good quality of food: We tend to eat food with lots of preservatives which makes food unhealthy; French emphasise a lot on quality and don’t go on eating unhealthy stuff full of preservatives.
Meals should be a Family Affair: French people know the importance of sharing their meal time with their family; which is something Americans are unaware of. French sit down over meal with their family and they enjoy a hearty conversation, where they enjoy their meals and eat slow.
Course Meal: French have lots of courses like appetiser, entree, dessert, salad, coffee, cheese, etc. Still they do not overeat, as they now when they are having a course another one is on its way.
French Enjoy Red Wine: French have Red Wine and many studies have shown the healthy benefit of red wine. You can have a glass or two of red wine, but you should not over do it.
Take up the activity you like, skip going to the Gym: French across the world don’t believe in going to the gym; they prefer sports, swimming, biking, and walking than conventional workout.
Take care of your Sweet Tooth: French love to have all their courses in moderation. They cannot skip having their dessert; French only do not overindulge in Sweet, as for them Quality is of utmost importance.
