Lose Weight Quickly With The Russian Air Force Diet

You must have heard about various types of diet, to name a few, low calorie diet, low fat diet, low sodium diet, high fibre diet, high protein diet, combined with regular exercise to lose weight. But have you ever heard about Russian Air Force Diet?

Well, don’t bother many people are not aware of such diet. This diet is a fad diet which is both low in calories and strict. It was developed in the former Soviet Union with the motive to keep their soldier healthy, fit, active and slim. The Russian Air Force Diet is somewhat similar to the three day diet, but the difference is that this diet lasts for 7 days and also has faintly different menu.

Menu for seven day

As mentioned earlier, the Russian Air Force diet is low calorie and very strict diet. Under this diet you have to drink no less than four glasses of water or diet soda in a day. You can also use salt, vinegar, herbs, mustard, soy sauce, ketchup and Worcestershire sauce on your meal. In the morning you are only allowed to have a cup of coffee, preferably black coffee.

During lunch you can have just two eggs and tomato. When it comes to dinner you can eat green salad and 6-7 ounces of meat, preferably red meat. This menu is applicable for all days, in breakfast is minimal amount of starchy carbs and coffee; lunch is protein and a fruit; dinner is salad and protein.

Problems and issues pertaining to the Russian Air Force Diet

Like many other diets, there are some pros and cons related with this diet, this particular diet can also be tailored to supply an apt numbers of calories. While on this diet, you may feel low on energy and so should refrain yourself from high intensity workout, as it doesn’t provide ample carbs that provide fuel to your muscles. In such scenario, your body may turn some of the protein into carbs to meet basic energy needs.

As a consequence, dieters should be having at least eight glasses of water in a day instead of recommended four servings. While undergoing this diet, you can witness quick weight loss due to restricted amount of carbs and calories. However, once you are out of this diet and get back to your normal diet, the weight may come back quickly.
