As your muscles would try and re-build them and become bigger and toned, they need high amount of energy. Hence your body burn more fat post an anaerobic workout.

You should never keep yourself away from food if your aim is burning fat; as your body requires nourishment if you want it to function in the right manner. Nutritious meal would help you lose weight and get a nice toned body. If you keep your body starved your system would use the protein in your body as energy.
