Lose Belly Fat by Eating High Fat Food
Last year Prevention magazine covered the success story of some women in their middle-age who lost inches from their belly. To achieve this they had a diet which was rich in monounsaturated-fat. This diet actually requires the person should eat more and more monounsaturated fats in every meal.
Why does this diet works, well there is more than a single reason:
Studies conducted recently have proved that if your diet is rich in monounsaturated fat it helps you lower the amount of fat stored around your waist and belly (which is the riskiest and the most dangerous area to carry fat.) The research shows dieters who have high monounsaturated fat filled diet lost substantial amount of fat around their belly.
Monounsaturated fats are known to be healthy fats for a long time. The foods which have high monounsaturated-fat contain oil (olive & canola), nuts as well as avocados. This kind of fat also control the risk of type 2 diabetes, it helps in reduction of any cardiac related disease risk, reduces “bad” cholesterol, besides helping you lose inches.
To get benefits of this diet you should consume monounsaturated-rich foods in all your meals. You shouldn’t forget the amount of calories. You need to eat monounsaturated rich food, keeping your calories in check, you can just hope to lose inches. Like most healthy women try to keep calorie count to 1600 (with 3 meals of 400 calories each and 2 snacks of 200 calories each).
The following food have been suggested when it comes to consumption of monounsaturated fat. These include oil (canola, flaxseed, olive, peanut, soybean, sesame and sunflower), nuts, seeds and chocolate.
You can consume one table spoon of nuts which include: almonds, cashews, peanuts, pistachios, tahini, sunflower seeds etc. When it comes to avocado the serving size if half a cup. One serving of olive means 10 odd olives. Consume Dark/Semi Sweet chocolate to around ½ cup per serving. Chocolate intake should be just in one meal.
You should remember this isn’t a plan which is fool proof and you need constant monitoring of a physician. You also have to be very particular about the portion size to make this program a success.
