Is Being Fat Your Fault

Have you ever noticed that some people just eat whatever they like, hardly do any exercise or any physical activity, yet look they slim. Whereas, there are another set of people, who watch every crumb they eat, exercise regularly still never reach the weight they want to.

Many people who fight with their weight have their ancestors to blame. They got the ‘fat’ genes from their ancestors, who passed on these genes. To lose weight they really need to struggle hard as compared to others.

Generally, obese people are looked upon as gluttonous and lazy. However that may not be the reality, they not necessarily eat more than thinner people, and they just have family ‘fat’ genes working against them.
If twins, who has been raised apart, will gain almost same amount of weight, irrespective of their eating habit, or how much they ate, or much they exercised.

Native American, Hispanics, and African Americans are more likely to gain weight easily as compared to other ethnic groups.

You may have not only inherited only fat calories, but you may have also inherited your metabolism, your appetite and your craving from your ancestors.

Here are a few tips that may help you to beat your fat genes you have inherited.

Watch your appetite:

Ask yourself that are you really hungry or you can do away without any food intake. Many a time, we are actually not hungry but want to eat, this is because of our habit and also due to the genes we have inherited from our ancestors. When you are eating, our brain need time to catch up the signal sent by our stomach that you are it is full now. So don’t over stuff yourself. Enjoy your food. Eat slowly, it will help our brain to catch signal from our stomach easily. This will help us to eat less.

Have more of fiber:

Having food that are rich in fiber helps in lowering down insulin level and also depress our appetite. Our insulin level generally increases after meals. Soluble fiber helps in keeping these levels lower.

No crash diet, please:

Never do any crash diet; it will not help you to lose weight but can surely make you weak and ill. When you try to cut down calories radically and undertake extensive exercise, your fat cells mount a defensive. Slow down and take smaller steps to change your exercise and eating habits.

Always remember, slow and steady wins the race. Now go ahead any blame your forefather for your chubby body. But will blaming help you in losing weight, instead of that eat healthy and exercise regularly to win over the fat genes.
