How to Stick to Your Diet
I know it is extremely difficult to go on a diet but you would trust me when I say that sticking to your diet plan can be even more difficult. Having said that making a long term pledge to diet shouldn’t always have to be a pain.
You shouldn’t take up a crash diet but you should remember that moderation and balance is the key. You shouldn’t keep yourself deprived of any food from your diet. Do not go on extremes; they might give you fast results but will be extremely unhealthy in the long run.
Mentioned below are some tips which would help you stick to your diet:
As suggested earlier you should not remove any particular food stuff from your diet; instead you should keep a check of your portion size.
If you start your meal with a salad before eating your main course; you would fill yourself with nourishment and antioxidants; this would help you keep the energy level high.
Keep your munchies healthy and close to hand. You should keep veggie sticks, fruits, granola bar, rice cake, etc handy. Avoid having aerated drink and have homemade fruit and veggie juice cocktail instead.
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. You should make it high protein; with no fat/no added sugar milk on your cereal. Protein would give you the much needed energy to keep you going.
Carry snacks made at home to office. By doing this you would be able to control your quality and quantity intake; and your calorie intake would also be controlled.
Eat small and healthy meals across the day. You shouldn’t starve yourself as when you would eat; you would gorge on food. It is better to have 5-6 mini meals across the day. Make sure the meals are healthy and balanced.
You shouldn’t eat after 9pm in the night. Make sure you keep a gap of 2 hours before you hit the bed.
You should keep yourself hydrated and drink at least 8 glasses of water. Water would help fill you up and keep you off food.
You should take up a regular workout regime. If you want to be successful in your diet you cannot ignore the importance of a regular workout.
