Most women post their pregnancies have only one mission in mind and that is to lose a lot of weight. They want to lose all the weight that they had gained in nine months.
However losing weight for women who have just delivered a new born child is not that easy. But it’s not impossible either. They must be extremely careful and should only do those exercises that have been recommended by their doctors.
During pregnancy women gain as much as 15 kgs of weight. It is not abnormal as they need it for the nourishment and growth of the new born child inside them. However women lose around 5 kgs of weight immediately after they deliver the child. This includes the weight of the baby, placenta, blood, fluid and so on. Most women find it difficult to lose the weight that gets stored around their belly. Though some succeed, most of them continue to struggle to get back to their normal figure.
Women who have had a normal delivery can start exercising early. But those who have had cesarean are advised to start exercising after three months. The best way to lose weight for women after delivery is by drinking lots and lots of water and by breast feeding. In fact it is believed that women who breast feed their child lose around 1 kg of weight every month. You must be wondering how does this happen?
Lactation requires about 500 calories that is used from the fat that is stored during the time of pregnancy. Hence women don’t have to do any kind of rigorous exercise to lose weight. That is because when they breast feed they burn a lot of calories.
Simple things like walking regularly, practicing yoga, taking up swimming, taking up exercises for the waistline and for the back are considered to be very effective and useful for women who intent to lose all the extra kilos that they had gained during their pregnancy. The only word of caution for women would be to take it lightly and not push themselves too hard as it might hamper their health.
