How Eating Breakfast Can Help In Weight Loss

We all know it by heart that breakfast is the most important meal of the day and that we must not skip breakfast at any cost. Despite knowing this so many of us come up with different excuses for not having breakfast.

Sometimes people skip breakfast because they got up late in the morning and need to rush to office. Sometimes people give breakfast a miss because they overate last night and hence keeping their stomach empty in the morning seems like the best thing to do for them. Some skip breakfast out of sheer laziness whereas there are others who skip breakfast because they are tired of eating cereals and milk.

The reasons for skipping breakfast are varied. Nobody seems to understand the significance of eating breakfast in the morning. Breakfast is the first meal of the day that people have after starving for 8-10 hours. As they get up their body needs the required glucose to start doing their basic chores which includes walking, typing, getting ready to go to work and so on. If a person thinks that by skipping breakfast they are actually burning a lot of calories then they are absolutely wrong. Our body cannot produce the required enzymes that help in burning calories on not having breakfast.

Another important point which people forget is that after starving their body for so long they might end up eating some high-calorie food which will only lead to weight gain. People who skip breakfast generally start feeling hungry during the day. To stop their hunger they eat candies or pancakes that are so rich in fat and high in calories. Thus the trick lies in making the right choices while having breakfast. Fruits, vegetables, grains, cereals are considered to be some of the best options for breakfast. These are high fiber foods.

The advantage with high fiber food is that it makes a person full and does not add extra calories in their body. If a person takes high fiber foods then they have the option of eating more without adding calories. On the other hand if a person chooses to eat those foods which are high in energy for breakfast then they only end up adding more calories. Thus it is best to eat those foods which can provide your body with energy, keep you full and not add calories. A well balanced breakfast and proper exercise can also help a person greatly in losing weight.
