How Do People Stay Thin
You must have seen some people who stay lean no matter how much they eat or skip exercise. Studies have shown that who are thin prefer bulky foods.
That is they prefer food which is high in water content like vegetables, fruit, stew, water-based soup, whole grains, this food group is filling but is quite low on the calorie meter. Most of the food mentioned above has a lot of fibre which is filling.
They don’t do it consciously, but many thin people prefer to start their meal with soup or salad; result is that they eat less after the entrees. Studies have also shown that people who start their meals with a healthy soup or salad tend to consume lesser calories. The water content in soup and salad is again higher which doesn’t load you up with calories, but definitely leaves you feeling fuller and less prone to overeat.
Thin people mean small portion size. No here again they don’t do this consciously, you won’t see them carrying a measuring cup or asking the waiter for a kid size meal.
Lean people keep a track of what they are eating, they aren’t generally obsessive about what they eat, and as they prefer bulky food they fill their plates up with fruit, veggies, salad and lean protein.
Luckily for them the metabolism of thin people is naturally higher than that of fat people, so it is easy for them to burn the calories consumed without trying too hard.
As thin or lean people don’t believe in dieting as they are naturally thin they don’t tend to get in the trap of emotional eating, cravings, binging on food like fat people do; as unlike the later, thin people have loads of other things to think about that what to eat and what not to eat.
