Gain Weight and Still Be Healthy

Yes it is possible for a person to gain weight and remain healthy. The reason why people like to gain weight could be many. Some people are really thin and hence just to look a little different and nice they would like to gain some weight.

Whereas some people may have lost a lot of weight due to some sickness as a result of which they would like to gain weight. The way to gain weight is by taking in a lot of calories. And the way to remain healthy is ensuring that you are taking in food that is rich in essential nutrients like vitamins, minerals but not fat.

It is normal for a person to fear that in their quest of gaining weight they might end up gaining excessive weight and become obese. To avoid such a situation it would be best to either count your calories or maintain a food diary so that people can keep a track of how much they are eating every day. It is quite easy to increase the calories and yet maintain a healthy diet. Well instead of opting for high-calorie snacks like cookies, crackers it would make a lot of difference if a person chooses to have fresh juices. If you are someone with a sweet tooth then you can still afford to eat something lip smacking and remain healthy by having a healthy mix of some berries with nuts on it. Salad is another very healthy food option. Just make sure that your salad dressing is equally healthy as well. If you want to better the taste of your food then you can put different spices and herbs to improve the taste than just depending on salt.

Another good healthy option to eat if you are looking to have something that is very rich in proteins and calories is peanut butter. You can put peanut butter sauce on bread, crackers and enjoy a nice little filling snack. Or the best way to gain weight would be eating lot of starchy and high carbohydrate vegetables like potatoes, corn and so on.
