Almonds: Almond is packed with fiber and proteins and that is why this tasty nut will keep you full of energy. Almond is also a rich source of Vitamin E (for healthy skin and hair) and calcium (for stronger bone and teeth). Regular consumption of almond may help you to decrease cholesterol level and strengthen bones.
Try to add slices or fried piece of almond in your daily diet; you can also add the same to the cooked veggies such as green beans, cabbage, broccoli, etc.
Broccoli: Eat broccoli daily as it is the rich source of vitamins A, C, K and beta-carotene.
Eggs: For 75 calories only one small egg provides you with at least thirteen essential vitamins and minerals. The eggs also make us stronger as they appear to be a rich source of useful protein.
Avocado: Avocado is rich source for oils, but the chunk of them is mono-unsaturated fat. It also contains potassium, vitamin C, lutein and foliate, which is very good for our eyes. Avocado also contains seed sterol
that helps to decrease the cholesterol level.
Sweet potato: One sweet potato enough amount of beta-carotene that our needs for a day. Beta-carotene is a really nourishing substance which prevents cancer appearance. Its good for our heart too as it contains vitamin C and potassium. Many health experts and physicians are now advising sweet potato as a core diet to loose weight. Try this: Mash the baked sweet potato in veg broth and serve as the main course or first course.
Teff: Teff are tiny grains, but as opposed to its size it is simply packed with nourishing materials: Teff contains almost twice as much of iron and almost twenty times additional calcium as compared to any other grains. Moreover, it contains substantial amount of fibers too. Try this: take half glass of dry Teff and pour it over with one-fourth glass of warm or boiled water. Allow the mixture to brew up for approximately 10-12 minutes, then mix teff with turkey or lean beef to make tasty and healthy sandwich.
Yoghurt (low-fat, food additive free): Yoghurt, like the any dairy products, is a rich source of calcium and protein. But, owing to its bio-active cultures it can be very useful for treating immunity and digestion systems.
