Few Common Fitness and Diet Myth
Myth: You’ll lose weight if you’ll avoid carbs and calories.Well this one falls under low carbohydrate diet myth and this is a very popular myth regarding the Atkins diet.
The basic rule to lose weight and burn fat is to burn calories that you took. If you are able to burn more calories as compared to calories consumed then you will lose weight. Similarly, if you burn fewer calories vis-à-vis the calorie consumed then you will gain weight.
This is the only natural and effective way to lose weight and every weight loss programs are based on this principal. Apart from this the only way to lose way is surgery.
When it comes to carbohydrates, remember carbohydrate is preferred fuel for our body. If you consume carbohydrates then the body will use this as a fuel and will not burn stored fat for fuel. So, limit carbs consumption to burn stored fat. But for that you need to carry out extensive physical activities.
Remember, if you have more calories you will gain weight. So, the best thing to do is to eat something that can satisfy your hunger without adding extra calories.
Myth: You don’t have to care what you eat if you perform exercise regularly.
This is another myth you should completely ignore. You have to watch your food that you are eating and if possible count the calories too, even if you exercise regularly. Sound nutritional habits and regular exercise go hand in hand. Without one, other may not be of great use. Myth: Extensive exercise is the only way to keep the weights away.
No! No! Absolutely No! To lose and to maintain weight exercise is important but not necessarily high intensity exercise. Even a brisk walk, jogging or swimming can help you to lose extra weight. Make a habit to go out for a walk or jog daily for 20-30 minutes as this will help to keep the weight off. Do what you enjoy doing and can do it comfortably and regularly; ultimately you will be able to do longer period of time.
Myth: A little soreness is actually good—it proves that you have really put in effort.
Muscle soreness just indicate one thing that you did too much too early. Next time try to go easy and stop bit sooner. Try to increase intensity gradually. As you will gain muscle and stamina you will be able to work out more without stiff muscles the next day. It’s always recommended to go slow and do less and not get sore.
