Essential Equipments for Exercise at Home

If you don’t have the time to hit the gym or join an exercise class, you don’t have to leave exercising completely.By exercising at home you can get the same results by just these equipments:

Exercise Mats: This would come handy when you have to do all floor exercises. These mats are readily available now-a-days in different style, colour and sizes.

Make sure you chose a mat which is specially designed for yoga and which can be stored easily. Generally around two feet in width, their length and thickness vary. Choose one that suits your requirement.

Dumbbells: When you have decided to exercise at home you cant overlook weight training. Various size and forms of dumbbells are available from regular ones to presentable vinyl-coated options.

Leg/Ankle Weights: Like Dumbbells it is essential to invest in good legs weights which can be tied around your ankles.

Swiss Exercise Ball: This is multipurpose equipment as it helps in improving coordination & balance and coordination, besides toning and strengthening your muscles, despite of being so useful they are really fun to use. They are also excellent in post injury rehab.

Resistance bands: These elastic bands which are made of rubber tube are essential for strength training. Resistance bands are light in weight, they are portable, and can be stored easily. They help us in building our muscles besides strengthening and toning body, these bands target specific areas and muscle groups.

Skipping rope: Skipping ropes are extremely high-intensity cardio workout which needs stamina, strength balance and agility. These can be used any time of the day, gives a complete body workout and is extremely easy to store, it is also a fun workout.

Aerobic Steps: Step Aerobic is a very popular, fun and energetic form of aerobics which help you exercise your entire body, it is extremely healthy and helps raise our physical well-being. Steps give an awesome workout, it is not only good aerobically, but also strengthens our lower body, the step isn’t a very high impact workout. The size of step you buy depends on your exercise needs, the height of the step can be customized as per requirement.

Monitor for Heart Rate: Its extremely important to keep your heart rate in check and for the same you would need a heart rate monitor-preferably digital.

Workout Videos: By getting workout videos you would get exercise benefits which is economical, convenient has great options with excellent instructors. Besides these you have so many options and each video specifies the section for beginners to advance level. Videos also tell you the time to be invested in exercise and fits in your busy schedules.
