50 calories a day, what does it means to you. Is it huge or just a small amount of calories?
An additional 50 calories per day may not seems to be big enough, but consider this; if you can cut 50 calories from your diet every day, you can actually lose more that one pound in three months, or more than 4 pounds in a year. Interesting isn’t it?
Just by making small alteration to your regular diet you can cut pounds and pounds in a year time. Just reduce your calorie intake to small amount and you can lose weight. Here are some useful tips that can help you to cut down your calorie intake and make you look slimmer. Try to incorporate the tips mentioned below, more to incorporate, the more calories you can cut.
Have whole fruit: Try to eat more of whole fruit instead of fruit juice. A mid-size orange contains around 60 calories, whilst a cup of orange juice has approximately 110 calories. So, select whole fruit instead! By this you can save 50 calories.
Trim your bagel: A regular mi-size bagel contains approximately 240 calories and large size bagel can contain as high as 350 calories, where as a mini or small bagel contains 80 calories. Just by opting for smaller bagel you can save around 110-160 calories
Opt for light cream cheese: One ounce (two table spoon) of regular cream cheese contains 100 calories. On the other hand, same amount of light cream cheese has 60 calories. (Calories saved – 40)
Add fruits in your yogurt: A cup of fruit flavored yogurt has 230 calories. Better option would be to have 1 cup of low-fat yogurt with fresh fruit (half cup) for 170-180 calories. By this you can get extra fiber too. (Calories saved – 50 to 60)
Spray it: Using cooking spray for cooking may cost as little as 6 calories, where as using a tablespoon of margarine or butter can increase calorie intake by 100 calories. Replacing butter with cooking spray you can save 94 calories.
Season up: Use herbs to season vegetable instead of using margarine or butter. Just by doing this you can save up to 100 calories per tablespoon.
Cone down: By opting for small waffle cone instead of large cone can help you to save 40 calories. If you can do away with small cone you can save additional 60 calories and 100 calories if you can eliminate large cone.
Use milk instead of cream in your coffee: Try to use two tablespoon of milk in your coffee instead of using two tablespoon of cream. By doing this you can save 20 calories
Avoid soda: By gulping mini can (8 oz) of soda instead of having 12 oz soda, you can save 50 calories. Best would be avoid soda and have lots of water, you can save 150 calories.
