Does Marriage Lead To Increase In Weight Gain

It is true that women tend to increase weight after they get married. I mean, how many times have we come up with a shocked look on seeing our friends gain loads of weight just after marriage? Innumerable times i am sure.

Ever wondered why women suddenly gain weight after marriage? Ever wondered what happens to their plans of dieting and counting calories immediately after they get married? Does finding Mr. Right mean the end of women’s (if not all at least for most of them) dieting experiments?

Yes to a certain extent finding the right man does cease the desire in women to worry about their weight. This may not apply in the case of every woman. But most women are in a much secured position after they get married. Their priorities change and losing weight for most of them takes a back seat. Also married woman feel that they don’t have to look very attractive anymore as they have found their partner. They cook for their husband and don’t really fret about how much food they are taking in. Life takes a new route for women completely after marriage where they do anything to show their husband that they are capable of doing anything.

One such thing is cooking. Most newly married women spend most of their time cooking for their husband. And for those women who have not had a successful marriage then they try to forget about their depression and sorrow by eating more. Failing to realize that they are adding more to their woes.  Most women tend to take their health for granted after they get married. It is only later when they start having problems or when they have grown a little older that they suddenly realize that the shape of their bodies have changed drastically from looking like an hour glass to like an over sized potato.

The best way to deal with it is not get complacent with the efforts put in by them before marriage for losing weight. It is important for women to remember that their life has not ended but it has taken a new beginning and they must take better care of themselves and their body.
