Do You Gain More Weight When You Work Out

Well it totally depends upon the kind of exercise that the person is doing. For instance, if someone wants to lose weight but is focusing on building large muscles then there is no way that the person is going to lose weight.

There is no perfect solution for losing weight. A person can lift weights and continue to stay slim by complementing it with a good combination of cardio exercises and a balanced diet.

If weight training is done under proper supervision that includes a perfect combination of cardio,  lifting weights and a well-balanced diet, than all this will result in increased metabolism of the person and finally result in weight loss. The trick is not over doing anything but doing everything in moderation so that the final objective (which is losing weight) is finally achieved. It is important to understand that all of us are born with different body types and that we should only those weight lifting exercises that suit our body.

That is even if a person regularly sweats it out in the gym, he/she might not be able to lose weight as they might not be doing the exercise that suits their body. It is also important to remember that exercising is not the end of one’s quest for losing weight.  It needs to be combined with different factors like balanced diet, healthy lifestyle and so on. Ideally when you are working out and if your aim is to lose weight then it is normally advised to do high repetition sets with lower weights.

This builds muscles but does not in any way make them look bulky. This exercise can then be combined with other appropriate cardio exercises. One can even make some alteration in their diet by reducing fat consumption and increasing the level of protein in order to provide their body with the right ingredients that will not just make them look thin but even healthy and fit.
