Play with your morning cup of coffee –You can’t do without your morning cup of coffee, you don’t need to; try to have your coffee with no sugar or by using artificial sweetener, swap normal milk with low-fat, skimmed milk.
Say no to juice and soda, have water instead – By consuming aerated drinks and ready to use juices you pile on extra calories every day. Drink water, you can drink iced water to raise metabolism and curb hunger.
Serving Size –When you buy health food check the labels not only for nutritional content but also regarding the serving size. At times you tend to over eat low-calorie, low-fat food and pile on extra calories. Limit your serving size to what is mentioned on the food label.
Chicken without skin – Chicken is considered a low-calorie, low-fat option, but if you consume it with skin you end up eating unnecessary calories. Lower the calories by removing the skin of chicken or maybe turkey.
Limited Bread – Bread adds unnecessary calories and carbs. If you can’t do without bread, restrict your bread intake to 2-3 slices a day of whole wheat option, which is rich in fibre and makes you feel full longer.
Packed lunch – We generally tend to stuff ourself with unhealthy take-away lunches. It is best to carry healthy lunch like salad, soup, other lean cuisine for lunch along with you.
Bake or roast; don’t fry – Fried means high in calories, try baking or roasting food instead to decrease the number of calories.
Fat-free dressing for – Salads can become really high on calorie if you don’t take care of the dressing you add. Make or buy fresh salad with fat-free toppings and dressings. It is best when you eat out, ask them to give the dressing separately and add it as per your requirement.
Light alcohol – If you consume alcohol daily, you are at the risk of consuming a whole lot of calories. It is best to use light beers etc.
Small Plates – Don’t buy plates that are very large as you end up over eating use small plates for your meals it is best to reduce the number of calories.
