Crash Diet and It’s Side Effect
Today’s world is so fast paced that we have no time for anything and we want everything to be quick and fast and same is the case when it comes to weight loss.
Many of us must have tried one or other way to lose weight. All of us want to lose extra pound fast, and to achieve that we take support of crash diet to lose weight faster. Initially, crash diet may seem to be very useful but it has adverse effect in the long run. Here are some effects that crash diet can have on your health and on you.
Crash diet can lead to development of gallstone: It’s a proven fact and many research and studies have concluded the same that crash diet can lead to development of gall stone. While crash dieting, our body fails to get the vital nutrients, this result in slating of bile and cholesterol get out of whack and this make our body very prone to develop gallstone.
Hair Loss: Crash dieting for longer period of time can lead to hair fall and hair loss. Due to lack of minerals and vitamins, our hair tends to become very brittle, fragile and fall out. Foods are rich source of several vital mineral and vitamins, and if we stop eating or reduce it to large extent it will directly affect our nails, hair and even the colour of our skin.
Loss of muscles: When we crash diet, our body hibernate into starvation mode and in this process our body tend to store fat and start burning muscles. Our muscles helps in burning calories, so when there are less muscles and more fat in our body then it become extremely difficult to lose weight.
Loss of energy: Calories are essential for our body as it helps in providing energy. So when our body lacks calories, our body fail to develop enough energy to keep us active throughout the day.
Dehydration: All of us that water is very important for our existence. If we stop eating, we tend to deprive our body of much needed water. Many foods such as fruits are rich in water content and when we don’t provide these foods to our body then dehydration can set in.
