Now you must be wondering how a name that sounds so lip-smacking in itself can be used in helping people to lose weight. Weight loss has become such a huge priority and an important need in people’s lives these days that researchers keep coming up with unique ideas to help them lose weight.
Cookie-diet is a very low-calorie diet. In cookie diet the focus is shifted to controlling hunger. This is a form of diet that replaces cookies in the place of meals. These cookies come from a particular type of diet source.
Cookie diet has been devised by Dr. Siegal. The various types of diet source from where a person can get these cookies are Dr. Siegal’s Cookie Diet, Smart for life and Hollywood Cookie diet. Now if a person is on a cookie diet then they are recommended to eat 4-6 cookies a day.
In case their diet source is Dr. Siegal’s then they can have a meal of six ounces along with the cookies. This is how the cookie diet was envisaged by Dr. Siegal. While he was still researching on how to control the feeling of hunger in human beings he made a mixture containing certain amino acids and baked them into a cookie.
He was only experimenting then and once the cookies had been baked he had asked his patients to eat six cookies a day to see if there was a difference in their weight loss or not. The cookies contained approximately 500 calories. Along with these cookies Dr. Siegal had advised his patients to take light dinner in the evening.
The experiment was certainly a success as many people benefitted from this experiment. But if you look at the negative side of this cookie diet plan then it would be that people would not get all the nutrients as they will only be depending on some 4-6 cookies.
Also it depends on the dieter how much and what they decide to eat in their light dinner. If they eating something which is high in calories and in high proportions then it can hamper their weight loss plans. But this plan works in one way because it helps people control their hunger. And because so many people have benefited from this diet I think it is worth giving a shot.
