Diet pops are better and healthier than regular pops. Well, any regular can of pop contains around 130-140Kcals, where as diet Pops contain around 10kcal; some diet pop comes with no or zero calories.
Therefore, is correct to say that a can of diet pop contain fewer calories as compared to regular pop. Still there is no nutrient value attached to it, so can’t actually consider this flavored water as healthy drink.
It is better to have milk than fruit juice: Most of us would be surprised to know that a glass of fruit juice (200 ml) contains more calories as compared to a glass of 1% or no-fat milk. A glass of fruit juice contains around 20-130Kcal, where as a glass of two per cent milk contains just 10kcal.
Canned juice especially contains less of vitamins and more of sugar. On the other milk contains vital nutrients such as potassium, minerals and calcium. It’s better to eat whole fruit than having juice, whole fruits provide vital nutrients and fiber.
Bottled water for example tonic water, mineral water, sparkling water, flavored water is water: Yes, simple plain bottled water is free from calorie and is just water. However, some flavored water is made by fruit juice and sweetener. For instance, tonic water contains as much as 125kcal per serving. So make it a habit to check out the ingredient list and calorie count. If you prefer to drink tap water instead of mineral water ensure that it contains fluoride.
Drinking wine will not pop up beer belly: It’s just a common misconception that beer contains fewer calories than wine, or wine contains fewer calories than wine. It’s just not true. A glass of wine (5 =z) contains around 130Kcal and on the other hand a bottle of beer (12 oz) contains close to 150Kcal. So per ounce basis, yes, wine contains fewer calories than a bottle of beer.
But the sweeter the wine is more sugar and more calories it carries. Calories derived from alcohol get stored as a fat in our abdomen. So regular consumption of alcohol, it may be wine or beer or any other hard drink, you can develop beer belly or pot belly. So drink less to avoid beer belly.
Only Coffee and tea are the main source of caffeine: Many people believe that only tea and coffee contains caffeine. It would be surprise you many people to know that a can of pop has caffeine too. Energy drinks such as Red Bull contain as such caffeine as coffee.
