Honey is very helpful and a key ingredient in any weight loss diet program. If you plan to lose weight, honey can be very useful to you.

Many people consider that honey is equivalent to refined sugar. Let us first see how honey is different from sugar.

Its a proven fact that honey contains sugar. However, unlike sugar honey contains minerals and vitamins too. Our body is structured in such a way that to digest sugar, the minerals and vitamins stored in our body are utilized. Vitamins, minerals and other nutrients are vital to dissolve cholesterol and fats.

Thus when we consume sugar, we tend to increase weight not just because of calories, but also due to loss of minerals and vitamins. On the other hand, honey is a rich source of nutrients, which helps us to lose weight.

Mentioned below are a few ways to consume honey to reduce weight:

Honey and warm water: Fat remains as a redundant resource in our body, adding weight and bulk. Honey helps in mobilizing the stored fat. When fat is reduced or burnt to provide energy for our daily activities, we can witness a steady and gradual decrease in our weight. Consume about a tablespoon of honey mixed in lukewarm water daily in early morning to reduce weight. Apart from reducing weight, honey mixed with warm water helps in removing toxin from our body.

Honey and lemon juice: Honey when consumer with lukewarm water and lemon juice help in weight loss. Several people drink honey, lemon juice mixed in warm water, first thing in the morning to lose weight.

Honey and cinnamon: Another way of reducing weight is with the help of honey and cinnamon powder mixed in warm water. Take one tablespoon of honey, one tablespoon of cinnamon and a cup of lukewarm water, mix it properly and consume the same empty stomach. No scientific evidence available that how this mixture helps in reducing weight, but many people have witnessed weight loss with the help of this mixture. Try it to believe it.

Many people just stop eating food to shed extra pounds. It is not at all advisable to do so. If you don’t consume food that contains calories, minerals, vitamins and fiber, you immunity system will go weak.

Any weight loss program should aim toward reducing the calorie intake and not stopping the calorie intake. Finally, you need to do regular exercise to burn calories.
