The name of this diet itself is really exciting –‘Baby Food Diet’. This diet plans suggests consuming baby food as snacks and for a few meals to control portion and lose weight.
Baby foods don’t compromise on taste or the portion- which is pre-defined for you. The aim of baby food for babies is growth and weight gain, but the same baby food today can be used for weight loss in case of adults. The diet actually suggests adults to go back on eating what is offered in the small tins for babies.
This diet has been followed for quite some time now, and those who have actually undergone this particular diet, swear by it. Like in case of any other diet, you should be smart and sensible when you follow the baby food diet.
As the name suggests, this is a fairly simple diet plan where you need to substitute your snacks or even main meals with baby food to reduce the number of calories you consume. You should be aware that you don’t have to replace all your meals with baby food as this might lead to a deficit in calories consumed.
If you do so, your baby food diet would turn into a crash diet which would lead to fatigue and tiredness, you would also be prone to rebound where you would gain the weight lost as soon as you finish your diet. It is recommended to have a few healthy adult meals every day, and you can have baby food for snacks and breakfast.
Many followers of this diet plan don’t recommend exercise during this diet. This isn’t healthy as exercise should be an essential part of any diet plan. You can undertake low impact exercise but make sure you consume enough calories.
This diet may not be recommended for someone who doesn’t like the mushy and bland baby foods. It would be better if you try a jar before stocking your kitchen cabinets with baby food. It is a general view that fruit based baby food is tastier than veggie based baby food.
There are many benefits of baby food, as this is actually meant for really small babies; it is extremely healthy and hygienic. It contains no added sugar or preservatives. The organic baby foods available are healthier and loaded with minerals and vitamins. These foods aren’t very expensive and are available in a lot of flavours.
