Most people trying to lose weight opt to go on a juice fast where they take in only juice and nothing else. Now fasting on juice and juice Detox diet have just one difference. That is in a juice detox diet plan a person is introduced to smaller amounts of food as they start reaching the end of the diet plan.
Whereas if a person is fasting on juice for losing weight then no food is introduced. This is the only difference between the two. Because a dieter is not allowed to take any form of solid food fasting on juice is often termed as an extreme form of detoxification and hence can be taken only for a period of two days.
Those who have diabetes, low blood pressure, anemia, low blood sugar, eating disorders, kidney problems, cancer, terminal illness, epilepsy, liver disease, pregnant women, nutritional deficiency, malnutrition, liver disease etc. are not allowed to be on a juice fast. It is recommended that a person does juice fasting during summers. In fact spring is supposed to be the best season to be on a juice fast.
Just seven days before a person starts to be on a juice diet alcohol, caffeine, nicotine, meat, sugar, dairy, meat, wheat, fish, eggs are removed from the list of the dieters food chart. What now remains in their food chart are natural products like fresh fruits and vegetables. The most common fruits and juices that are allowed are cranberry, spinach, carrot, beat, greens, apple, pineapple, cabbage etc. The dieter must take between 32 to 64 ounces of juice per day during their fast. Basically a good combination of fresh fruits and vegetables are used in this diet.
Sometimes just to change the taste of the mouth the dieter can have only one meal along with the juice. A person is not allowed to continue with juice fasting after three days because it may cause weakness and some form of nutritional deficiency. If the dieter wants to continue then further recommendation from the doctor is necessary.
