A Chocolate Diet
The Italians dieticians have come up with the concept of a diet based on Chocolates. No don’t rub your eyes or stare in astonishment, days are gone when dieters use to see eating chocolate as a sin.
Chocolate diet is probably the tastiest diet one could ever think of. There are some obvious rules which one needs to follow while she/he is on a Chocolate diet; this is a 5-7 day diet, between two cycles you will have to take a break of 4-6 days to get maximum results. It is important that you don’t drink atleast 3 hours after a meal while on a Chocolate Diet.
The menu:
List of products mentioned below can be consumed in any form in and between meals. You can have whole fruits for breakfast, Fruit juice for mid-meal and fruit salad for lunch. The best part about this diet is starving or consuming lesser quantity will not yield the desired results. Starving yourself while on a chocolate diet is actually prohibited. You need to be sure that you consume the exact quantity of food stuff mentioned while you are on a Chocolate Diet.
On a daily basis you can consume the following items:
Pasta – which can be in any form
Low – fat Sauce used for pasta; if you want meat use white meat instead
Salad without crackes and fatty toppings
Veggies
Fruits
Popcorn without salth and butter
30 gm Chocolate per day
2 ltr Water per day
Example of a Menu:
For Breakfast: Fruit, salad (fresh fruit), wheat flake- use skim milk along strawberry.
Brunch: Popcorn & Fresh fruit.
Lunch: Fruit salad, pasta or spaghetti salad.
Mid-meal: Popcorn, Mixed raw vegetables, cocktail made of fruit made in skimmed milk.
For Dinner: Tomato, Fettuccini and sauce with pasta (whole grain), fruit/veggie salad, steamed/boiled vegetables.
Mid-meals: Popcorn & chocolate.
Benefits:
Chocolates have anti-oxidants which reduce the risk of heart disease
The diet is known to boost metabolism.
Does it work:
The evidence to prove the effects of Chocolate diet on weight loss is still not proved. Too much of Chocolate is harmful for your body and would have a negative effect.
